These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Typer.’s website and writing application (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with applicable laws.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify Typer. promptly of any unauthorized access or security breach.
The Service allows you to create, edit, and store writing content (documents) and organize it (for example, using groups/folders). Features may change over time.
If you use AI features (such as grammar checking or rewriting), you authorize Typer. to transmit the text you submit to third-party AI providers (currently, OpenAI) to generate results. AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete and are provided for informational purposes only.
You are responsible for the content you create, upload, or submit through the Service, and for ensuring that your use complies with applicable laws (including privacy and intellectual property laws).
You agree not to use the Service to:
You retain ownership of content you create or upload to the Service (“User Content”). You grant Typer. a limited license to host, store, transmit, and display your User Content solely to operate and provide the Service (including providing AI features you request).
Some features may require a paid subscription. Payments and subscription management may be handled by third-party payment processors (currently, Polar). Prices, billing intervals, and included features are described at the time of purchase and may change.
Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact Typer. at frederick@usetyper.com.
The Service may integrate with third-party services (for example, email delivery, analytics, and AI processing). Your use of third-party services may be subject to their terms and privacy policies. Typer. is not responsible for third-party services.
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Typer. or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service.
You may stop using the Service at any time. Typer. may suspend or terminate access to the Service if Typer. reasonably believes you violated these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Where appropriate, notice and an opportunity to remedy will be provided.
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Typer.disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Typer. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Typer.’s total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim (or $100 if you have not paid).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Typer. from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
Typer. may update these Terms from time to time. If material changes are made, reasonable steps will be taken to notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
